Franz Joachim Brechtel was born in Nürnberg in 1554. He was a renown poet, musician and learned the art of calligraphy from his father. He was trained as an artillerist and his interest in firearms lead him to publish a book on the subject.
In this course the elegant style of Gothic fraktur will be taught and students will discover the techniques of magnificent pen-decorated letters
